I dont know , but i have problem to respond to posts, something not working.

I found that the edits are really sticky. It's a bit of a Faustian bargain with vimeo. They are not the leader in tech and therefore don't feel the push to stay on top by enslaving themselves to the woke agenda. But they are also not the lead in tech for a reason. They are probably a team of 10 to Google's 10 million. Forums are not their strong suit.

I usually select all and copy my posts before hitting a button. Or better yet write it in a textfile then copy and paste. It often does something weird.

Well lets hope that is only a minor issue, but of course something like vBulletin board probably would make more sense for Fahrsight team.

Of course there tons of opensource alternatives like:

Discourse
Flarum
Vanilla Forums
Simple Machines Forum

I assume Courtney would write, something like, yeah that's cool but who would maintain it and do the moderation?
My answer to this:
the hosting is not so much big concern , you can have this day pretty cost efficient host's, in terms of maintenance it depends some of the forums you update like one time per year others maybe even like each 5 years in short

they Farsight team must see the reason for switching the forum.

Even something like having a Discord server would make sense.
This forum is ok , when it works , but i think when Farsight grow and grow, at some point the standard vimeo forum would be not enough , to capture all of different people groups here at Farsight.
