(ah, crap... not enough characters :( )
Questioning what some people would like us to believe....
So, I've often questioned claims made by people, and sought this thing called 'evidence' (even if that evidence is crap, it's better than getting none.... although, barely!)
There are certainly things I'd *like* to believe... but, that's obviously a *VERY* poor reason to do so.
And, I know that there are many who want to cast aspersions on the 'mainstream' and 'scientific community', saying they don't know what they're talking about, or questioning their theories (very insulting - especially by people who haven't actually done *any* research on the subject).
I've read a few books on various subjects, and I've at least thought to myself - "Very interesting, and I may be inclined to believe it - *IF* what they're writing is actually correct!"
So, I came across this video (actually, I probably did years ago..)
It "debunks"** a lot of the stuff that I suspect at least some people on this forum - and in the outer world - will believe (or want to believe.
It's relevant, as I'm currently going through the 3 hours (WTF??? :O ) of War in Heaven...
The section on the Pyramids of Egypt make me wonder also about the RV sessions by Dick & Daz...
(** 'debunks' is a word I don't really like, as it presumes that what's being presented is accurate, and that what's being 'debunked' is garbage. Rather, it merely means offering up alternative hypotheses - which, I admit, may well have better evidentiary trails and be better explanations than what's being offered by the opposing claimants)
Now, don't get me wrong! I happen to be at least vaguely competent at RV (by my own, and occasionally others', estimations). I would calculate my data to be between 60-80% accurate, for 70-90% of my taskings. However, I'm not *precise*, so my 60-80% accuracy may only describe about 10% of the target... so, not great :(
But... it is sufficient for me to believe in RV being a real phenomenon that is statistically valid (especially with some of the hits I've gotten!!! I wish I knew someone who would be able to calculate the rough chances of guessing).
So, I'm thinking to myself... "There are things I used to (want to) believe, that clearly I don't think I can anymore". (but, some things I know I didn't... the Crystal Skull thing was never on my radar!)
I wonder.... who else is willing to say the same thing???
As the above video shows, some beliefs are based on blatant lies... and others based on claims that either aren't supported by actual evidence, or on things for which no evidence is presented. So, yes... I'm going to believe the narrator in the above linked video - not the Zacharia Sitchin or Giorgio Tsoukalos' of the world...
(I'll have to go and watch the Annunaki videos soon...)
