I remember hearing from a whistle blower that the 2018 Hawaii false missile alert was aimed at a UFO but it got shot down by the UFO. Because remember, two people had to pull the trigger so there is no denying that there was something out there.
I do remember it. Not sure of the particulars. Heard the official story as being some kind of glitch and from other sites as it being something like you said- UFO
So as far as I can see its been 2 months since the Canadian Government said anything more about ufos. The Can Government officials went to a pentagon meeting June 7th I believe (about UFOs) .
I said if we don't hear another peep out of Canadas Government again about UFOs and Canada is a big country, (There have been sightings here) then I believe the Pentagon is attempting to rein in all this UFO talk.
After all they had UFO flaps before as they use to call them and they successfully dampened them down. There were flying saucers seen flying over Washington in the 50s and other "investigations" done in the 60,s. AND there were military whistle blowers back then - that mysteriously threw themselves out of hospitals widows
I think they want to shut this down again. Have another investigation done (by NASA). Report is all appears to be glitches in the new technology they bought and have CNN and others poo poo everything. And hope it all goes away.
Think there is enough momentum this time to keep the investigations going - or I hope so.

I have doubts about the rock solid opinion that Dr Greer has -- that all aliens are kind helpful. But in no way do I then reject everything he says.

yes now we also have an idea who the Intercept is but it can also be more of the deceived narrative of script that will subconsciously will lead more people to believe the allegations of David Grusch of at least to show how the scripts works.
One allegation under oath and then those that discredit the information to lead more people into believing the initial narrative.
Right now I am looking around the internet and I notice there is only one story -- before there was some other countries talking. But there is just Grusch and he is being attacked now as a Psychiatric alcoholic. I say the genie is being stuffed back into the lamp. Hope another country starts opening up on the subject.

As far as i can see - everyone is being shut down and threatened -- and Grusch is sitting out and getting the smear campaign. Really don't think it will work though. The internet was not around in the 60-70s and so on. Everyone now because of the internet with eyes can see exactly what is happening.
If CNN and the big media companies want to click their heels together and do the military/CIA bidding -then - the public will see through it and they will be the laughing stock of the industry.
