Data from memory recall meditation:
One of the mechanisms that establishes and maintains control over spiritual beings is something called ATI: Artificial Telepathic Intelligence. This is a mechanism that communicates with a being telepathically and interfaces with them directly in order to effect and control them.
All bodies, especially biological bodies, are implanetd with this mechanism. In the case of biological bodies, this mechanism is what is commonly referred to as the 7 chakras.
Each chakra manages different aspects of the body and the being, causing the blood to pump, the heart to beat, the body to digest, etc. as well as ensuring that the spirit animating the body is compliant and submissive to the body by use of telepathic emotions and sensations.
The chakras were put in place to act as a seven fold seal on the being inhabiting the body, sealing their power and ability, and causing one to be subjected to intense sensations like hunger, physical pain, thirst, temperature, sexual yearning, as well as a great myriad of psychological and emotional influences, all in order to subject a spirit to enslavement and the weakness of the body.
The chakras and the body arent “mechanisms to evolve consciousness” they are PURELY instruments of control and should be conquered and overcome. The body did not evolve. It was created to enslave spirits.
This is why the ancient yogis, sages, and monks practiced renunciation and saught to overcome the body and “open” or “release” the chakras, because the body poisons and enslaves the being, and makes one loyal and addicted to the body which is easily controlled.
Just trying to think about your post Viroze. It is hard because we have so little time to figure things out. Almost nothing that we think we know is actually verifiable and we are suckers for believing the things we want to be true and rejecting those that we don't. The information I have received - and not truly studied - about the chakras sounds plausible and coherent in the context of a spiritual practice of becoming aware of and managing energy channels. Of course if we begin to link the idea of these personal energetic pathways to consciousness we also have to move away from the individual aspect and think about the cross connections with other entities both aware and unaware of such things.
Scientifically speaking the chakras are all areas of significant biological and electromagnetic activity and I have heard that the electrical activity in the area of the stomach is significant as a part of the Central Nervous System:

They talk about the Enteric Nervous System.
This idea of the body as a micro-prison for the true being or IS-BE is interesting. I was once fully convinced that consciousness is a byproduct of bio-electrical activity but have had to revise my certainty. Out of the body experiences, and RV for that matter, reveal that consciousness and a full sense of being and perception is not dependent on the body's physical location. Materialist scientists insist that this phenomenon is a clever brain simulation but I wonder if the people who say this have had the experience themselves. Of course none of us can be sure if the phenomenon persists after the actual final death of the body. I discount 'near death experiences' as death has not actually occurred.
I have tried to make diagrams of what happens to our consciousness during the death trap experience - I kept thinking of the way a worm coils and thrashes when exposed to excessive heat - I rescue them by the way if I can! This fascination with the chakras is in my mind an attempt to uncoil and unravel the raw thrashing sensory mess we are left with as we start a fresh voyage in a new human body. So the thoughts on chakras here from Viroze suggest they are a primary mechanism for interfacing with the IS-BE and holding it in place. Cearly the chakras are significant and clearly our IS-BE selves struggle to achieve self-realisation here. I will reflect some more.
