Hey everybody,
I want to share something inspiring that I learned about only recently that I think people in this community would appreciate. It's a means for staying healthy called "grounding" or "earthing." Some people will be familiar with it, some people will have done it all of the time without realize it's significance, but most people have no idea how important it is.
Everyone knows lightning storms are the Earth's way of releasing static electricity. And everyone knows we rely on electricity to think and use our muscles. What's gotten lost in the process of modernization is our physical contact with the Earth beneath our feet. Simply put; our lack of grounding has resulted in myriad ailments. Whereas regular grounding;
Reduces inflammation
Decreases pain
Decreases stress response
Increases heart rate variability
Improves sleep
Improves cortisol rhythm
Improves wound healing
Reduces blood viscosity
The point is, this is fundamental to being a human animal. Grounding stabilizes the body's physiology at the deepest levels. I highly recommend learning more. To be clear, I'm not selling anything. Standing on the ground barefoot is an absurdly simple thing we can all do to live healthier, happier lives ๐
