Hmmm. About point 1. Ever read the book? "The Republic" by Plato? Has something of democracy in it, IIRC.
I don't really want to leap into the rest because... well, I'm not American. It wouldn't be appropriate.
But I would say this about corporations - they are a legal fiction. It is all to easy to believe the fiction and ignore the fact that individuals, real human people, are both protected by and benefit from such legal fictions, and that's true on both sides of the Atlantic.
Farsight LLC is one such. BUT, it doesn't operate to pay off shareholders or transfer huge amounts of wealth every single day. It's way way smaller than that.
In between the cracks of the megalodons, little "legal fictions" can flourish too. The system is not so bent or wholly unbeneficial as you might believe.
EDIT: As for Assassination phenomena, well, had a few NDEs in my time. And the thing with them is, even if the origin was innocent stupidity, it might feel very very real as a deliberately caused event to the person at the center of the experience.
Survivors survive. Evolution sorts out the people who are going to make it and those who are not. I can respect a martyrs decision, but I do not advocate such behaviour. The pain of existing for an individual can be so great that they seek death, permanent oblivion, to be removed from it.
I've survived so far with a little help from my friends of course. (Looks up, says "thanks", and looks down and says "thank you very much".
Life is a precious gift. Please don't waste it being negative and bringing more crap and suffering and misery into society, we've got quite enough already.
