Prices are typically set according to their market-value; if nobody wants or even knows about its existence, then, good luck trying to make any sales, even if you set the low, low, discount-price of only an insignificant 12$US a month; if people exist in the markets who are practically throwing their money at your product or service the MOMENT you make it available, and, they are an over-whelming amount to keep up with, then, you price the product/service even higher in order to avoid being sold out by the end of the day & not having any product/service available for other customers.
And keeping the price seemingly as what you perceive as «high» might actually BE for «moral» reasons; for example, when the Grand-Master of the Martial Arts System that I teach first came to this country, all he taught originally was just fighting, but, six months down the road, a student of his at New York and another student of his at Florida, for some reason, decided to go to these other Martial Arts Schools where the instructors their had their schools for 20 years & 30 years so were obviously very experienced with martial arts, but, the two students ended up beating the absolute crap out of both of those instructors; our Grand-Master was then all like...: «Oh my God ! Is that what Americans do to each other when they learn how to actually fight ?» Then from that point onwards he no longer taught just fighting (now you really have to earn his trust before he will teach you the really truly effective fighting techniques).
What the Certified Martial Arts Instructors like me have paid for in the ACMAF-System in order to learn the more «insider» skills cost far more than what the «public-students» pay for, and, our techniques are effective enough to where we can typically handle ourselves against at least 95% of what exists out there in the population (and I know this for a fact because I have had plenty of past-students as well as even a past-encounter with an Olympic-wrestler and plenty of jiujitsu-practitioners «pressure-test» me in order to see how «good» I really was at «fighting/sparring» and of course I delivered; even at my instructors school we had plenty of people from all kinds of different back-grounds come into our school and «challenge» us into doing «valé tudo» and what-not so I definitely KNOW that the techniques & material that I have learned in this system are much more highly effective, even if the grand-master only teaches us enough to stay one step ahead of everybody else, rather than so much that we completely end up dominating & obliterating & destroying everyone).
And I am certainly NOT going to be going about teaching people how to «kill someone in 3 seconds» and it would actually BE a «Moral-Decision» on my part, similarly to how we have «public» students versus «indoor» Martial Arts Instructors, such that the «pricing» for you learning any «killing techniques» is going to NEED to be HIGH, and, VERY HIGH, unless I have known you long enough for you to have been able to earn my trust that you're not going to just go about randomly killing a bunch of people whom you don't like just because you think you can.
Additionally, we've actually had people from other styles or schools or what-ever see our combat-techniques, are all like «Wow, that looks really cool, let's take it and start teaching it at our place» (because they've obviously never seen such techniques before since we do possess rare techniques that nobody else out there even has) then they go about teaching it like as-if though they were the ones who invented it and calling it something from their style when it is not (Note : What people know as so-called «BJJ» is actually NOT some sort of «new style» that the Gracies «invented» but is literally JUST jiujitsu as the Gracies did NOT in fact «invent» anything new that didn't already exist within the original version of jiujitsu).
So, THAT would also be another potential-reason for Far-Sight NOT to «freely give out the information» to just everybody, and, additionally, when it comes to «Markets» and «Economy» and «Profitability» there is also such a thing called «Saturation» which people who actually KNOW how this stuff works want to AVOID so that their «investors» have a much higher-rate of being able to achieve success & profitability than if the «market» were to be «saturated...»
